Recipe – RAW Shoe String Zucchini Fries in the Dehydrator

Frenchini Fries

Dehydrated Frenchini Fries

Remember those long Shoe String French Fries?  I sure do!  I loved the Salt and Vinegar and used to get really excited when I found an especially long french fry!

After perfecting my Dressing for my RAW Kale Chips How to Make RAW Kale Chips, I thought why not try the same dressing on Zucchini.  I was going to slice them like Potatoe Chips, but then I thought about those Shoe String French Fries.

I got out my Spiralizer, got a Green & Yellow Zucchini and promptly spun out my new “Frenchini Fries” (my RAW name for these Snacks). This recipe is so crazy easy you will wonder why you hadn’t thought of it yourself.

There are only 2 Steps involved and 2 Tools you will need.  A Small Blender (I use Cuisinart because it’s PBA Free) for the Dressing and a Spiralizer (I used the thin curly blade) for the Fries.

Have fun and add ingredients you think you might like such as Chilli Flakes; Cracked Pepper; Herbs. Use your imagination and your taste buds will lead you!

Instructions
  1. Spiralize Zucchinis. I used the Thin Blade, so if you want thicker Fries, use the thicker blade. Remember Food shrinks its size in the Dehydrator.

  2. In a Small Blender, add Dressing Ingredients. Pulse to Coarse if you like it Chunky, or blend until smooth if you don't like the chunks.

  4. Lay Coated Fries on Dehydrator Trays (do not use Sheets). Try and not have the Fries touch eachother... they get crispier faster this way. Dehydrate for Approx. 3-5 hours for 118 degrees or, until desired Crunch is reached.
